Welcome to the Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha!

Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha Obon Festival dancer

We are a small but growing congregation of people who feel that Buddhism provides a foundation on which to build our lives, freeing us from stress and negativity. Rather than doing things with the idea of being “worthy” of going to a better place after death, we prefer to develop our Wisdom and Compassion now, which will help us to cope with daily life, and to enable us to improve our interactions with the people around us.  Our lives are guided by the Eight Fold Path (Right View, Right Thought, Right Speech, Right Conduct, Right Livelihood, Right Effort, Right Mindfulness, and Right Meditation).

Our services are held at 9:30 A.M. on the second Sunday of each month (except August), at 1401 Arville St., Las Vegas, NV 89102 (click on Contact Us for map). The dress is casual and the atmosphere is warm and family friendly.

We hope to see you soon!

On November 22, 2013, the Las Vegas Buddhist Sangha officially became the owner of a building on 4110 North Martin Luther King Boulevard, North Las Vegas, Nevada 89032.

Our architectural plans have been finalized, and we plan to begin “building out” the interior of the 4,800 sq. ft. “shell” very soon. If our time table holds up, we plan to have a GRAND OPENING on Sunday, May11, 2014. This celebration will coincide with our annual Mother’s Day service.

If you would like to help us complete the building, please click this page for details.
