We had an interesting weekend, starting with Rev. Jon Turner of Orange County Buddhist Church teaching a class on “Buddhism in Everyday Life” on Saturday, February 9 at 1 to 3 pm. On Sunday, at 10 am, Rev. Turner conducted our monthly service with an interesting talk on Buddhism as it is affected by different cultures. In the afternoon, Rev. Turner continued with his class on “Buddhism in Everyday Life” for two more hours.
All those who attended were very enthusiastic about what they learned in the classes. Most important was the fact that Buddhism can give us a perspective that will make our everyday lives happier, and our relationships more meaningful, with far less conflict. Life can be viewed as a process, rather than a series of goals attained.
Please visit “Our Guest Ministers” for Rev. Turner’s bio, and “Everyday Buddhism” for his class materials. Visit “Sangha Services” for a list of our services and scheduled classes for the rest of the year.
See you soon!
